The bigger picture

The restaurant industry is immense with plenty of profit to go around. How do you ensure customers come to you and not your competitors? Knowing the demographics and target audience is one key point when updating your menu. For example the income level, age and the lifestyle of your customer. (This may have changed since Covid). A fact finding exercise can quite often reveal surprising results. Another factor is knowing who your competitors are and what they offer. One point that is sometimes overlooked is that restaurants can be in direct competition with takeaways and vice versa.
